In Nigeria today, there is a belief that one should not depend on one source of income alone. This usually applies to those of us working 9-5 jobs and whatnot. But celebs have also taken this saying to heart. The names mentioned in this list have chosen agriculture as their side hustles.
1. Eedris Abdulkareem
Nigerian hip hop veteran Eedris Abdulkareem
Remember when Eedris Abdulkareem sang Nigeria Jaga Jaga? It seems the ‘Jaga-Jaganess’ did not reach his farm in Kano. The veteran rapper revealed recently that he has been in agriculture for more than a decade. “Since 2001, I have been fully engaged in agricultural activities and have investment in metals. I have a vast land in Kano, where I plant maize and other fruits for export. I have not really revealed this aspect of my life so as not to be distracted. People only see you as a musician and believe that is all you live on. ” he said.
2. Yinka Quadri
Veteran Yoruba actor Yinka Quadri also has his hands in poultry farming. In fact, he revealed that he has sunk over 7 Million Naira into his farm located in Ikorodu a suburb in Lagos state.
